Luis M. Martínez was Archbishop of Mexico City and a distinguished poet and scholar. In 1951, he was named the first official Primate of Mexico.

His works in English available from Cluny include: The Priest: Mystery of Love; Only Jesus; and Secrets of the Interior Life. Forthcoming in 2025 is his Liturgical Preludes (1961).
